What is this “add watermark to PDF” tool?
A free, browser-based tool that stamps a watermark — a “CONFIDENTIAL”/“DRAFT” label, a logo, or a stamp image — onto every page of a PDF. You control the placement, angle, opacity, and whether it sits behind or in front of the content. There's nothing to install and no sign-up, and because everything runs locally in your browser, your PDF and image are never uploaded to a server.
How to add a watermark to a PDF
- Upload your PDF by dragging it in or clicking the upload area.
- Choose a text watermark, or switch to an image (JPG, PNG, or WebP). A transparent PNG works well for logos and stamps.
- Set the placement (a 9-point grid or a tiled fill), angle, opacity, and the behind/front layer.
- Press “Add watermark & download” to get your watermarked PDF.
Common use cases
- Stamping a diagonal “CONFIDENTIAL” or “DRAFT” watermark across every page.
- Placing a faint company logo behind the content of a proposal or report.
- Tiling a “SAMPLE” mark to discourage unauthorized reuse of a document.
