What is this PDF metadata tool?
A free, browser-based tool to view and edit the metadata (document properties) embedded in a PDF — title, author, subject, keywords, creator, and producer. You can rewrite each field or strip everything in one click. There's nothing to install and no sign-up, and because everything runs locally in your browser, your file is never uploaded to a server.
How to edit PDF metadata
- Upload your PDF by dragging it in or clicking the upload area.
- Review the current metadata shown on the left, then edit the fields on the right. Keywords are comma-separated.
- Press “Save & download” to get the updated PDF, or “Clear all metadata & download” to strip every field.
Common use cases
- Removing a personal name or internal tool name from the author/producer fields before sharing a file.
- Setting a clean title and keywords so the document is easy to find and looks right in viewers.
- Auditing what document properties a PDF carries before publishing it.
