What is this PDF page number tool?
A free, browser-based tool that stamps page numbers onto every page of a PDF. Choose the position, the starting number, and the format, then download the numbered file. There's nothing to install and no sign-up — and because everything runs locally in your browser, your file is never uploaded to a server.
How to add page numbers to a PDF
- Upload your PDF by dragging it in or clicking the upload area.
- Choose the position (e.g. bottom-center or bottom-right), the starting number, and the display format.
- Press “Add page numbers & download” to get a numbered PDF.
Common use cases
- Numbering a contract, report, or proposal before printing or sending it.
- Skipping a cover page by starting the numbering from the body.
- Adding “N / total” page references so readers know how much is left.
