What is this PDF form builder?
A free, browser-based tool that adds fillable text fields to an existing PDF, turning a flat document into a form people can type into. There's nothing to install and no sign-up — and because everything runs locally in your browser, your file is never uploaded to a server.
How to add form fields to a PDF
- Upload your PDF by dragging it in or clicking the upload area.
- Press “Add text field” in the right panel for each field you need.
- For each field, set a name, the target page, a position preset (top/middle/bottom × left/center/right) and a width. The preview shows which fields land on which page.
- Press “Build form & download” to get a fillable PDF.
Common use cases
- Turning a printed-style application or intake sheet into a PDF people can type into.
- Adding name, date, or signature-line fields to a contract before sending it out.
- Quickly prototyping a fillable form without specialized PDF software.
