Remove unwanted objects from a photo by painting over them. Upload an image, brush over anything you want gone — a stray item, a passer-by's bag, clutter in the background — and the AI fills the area so it looks like the object was never there.
How to remove objects from an image
- Upload a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image (up to 10MB).
- Adjust the brush size, then paint over the object you want to remove. The red overlay shows what will be erased.
- Use Undo to remove your last stroke, or Clear all to start over.
- Press Erase.
- Download the result, or find it later in your run history.
The edited image is stored in your private workspace, so you can re-download it any time. Each run uses credits from your account.
Tips for clean removals
| Tip | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Cover the whole object plus its edges | Leftover fringes are the most common reason a removal looks unnatural |
| Include shadows and reflections | Painting only the object but not its shadow can leave a giveaway behind |
| Use a larger brush for big objects | Fewer strokes and more consistent coverage |
| Erase one thing at a time for complex scenes | Easier to review each result before moving on |
What works best
Removals look most natural when the background behind the object is relatively simple or repeating (walls, grass, sky, floors). Very busy or unique backgrounds are harder to reconstruct convincingly.
Limitations
The AI reconstructs the covered area from the surrounding image, so it works best for objects that don't overlap the main subject. Large objects that hide most of the scene leave little context to rebuild from.
