Remove people from a photo by painting over them. Upload an image, brush over a photobomber, a background crowd, or anyone you'd rather not have in the shot, and the AI fills the area so it looks like they were never there.
How to remove people from an image
- Upload a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image (up to 10MB).
- Adjust the brush size, then paint over the person you want to remove. The red overlay shows what will be erased.
- Use Undo to remove your last stroke, or Clear all to start over.
- Press Erase.
- Download the result, or find it later in your run history.
The edited image is stored in your private workspace, so you can re-download it any time. Each run uses credits from your account.
Tips for natural people removal
| Tip | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Cover the whole figure, including hair and limbs | Missed edges are the biggest tell that someone was removed |
| Include the person's shadow and reflections | A leftover shadow reveals that someone was there |
| Use a large brush for full-body figures | Faster, more even coverage |
| Remove one person at a time in a crowd | Easier to check each result before continuing |
What works best
Removals look most convincing when the area behind the person is relatively simple or repeating (a wall, pavement, grass, sky). If people overlap each other or the main subject, erase carefully and review the result.
Limitations
The AI rebuilds the covered area from the surrounding image. People who overlap the main subject, or who take up most of the frame, leave little background to reconstruct from.
