What is this CSV header editor?
A free, browser-based tool to edit the header row of a CSV. Upload or paste a CSV, then rename, add, remove, or reorder header names. If your file has no header row, promote the first data row to become the header — or demote the header back into a data row. Get a clean CSV to copy or download. Everything runs locally in your browser, so your data is never uploaded.
How to use it
- Upload a CSV file or paste it into the box on the left.
- Edit the header names in the inputs on the right; reorder or remove columns as needed.
- Add a column, or promote the first row to a header (or demote the header to a row).
- Copy the result or download the edited CSV.
Common use cases
- Renaming export headers to match the field names another tool expects on import.
- Adding a header row to a header-less CSV, or fixing one parsed from the wrong row.
- Tidying up column names before importing a contact or lead list into a CRM.
