What is this Romaji → Kana converter?
A free, browser-based tool that converts romaji into Japanese kana. Paste your romaji, pick the target script (hiragana or katakana), and the result appears instantly. It uses a Hepburn-style mapping (shi, tsu, chi, ji, fu, and ya/yu/yo combos like kya and sha) and handles the tricky cases: gemination becomes the small tsu (kitte → きって), the syllabic n becomes ん (shinbun → しんぶん), and long vowels are spelled out (toukyou → とうきょう). Everything runs locally in your browser, so your text is never uploaded.
