What is this keyword density checker?
A free, browser-based tool that measures how often your keywords appear in a piece of text. Paste your content and either enter the target keywords you want to check, or let it auto-rank the most frequent words. For each keyword it shows the count and the density both by word count and by character count — and flags anything that looks over-optimized (keyword stuffing). Everything runs locally in your browser, so your text is never uploaded.
How to use it
- Type or paste your text into the box on the left.
- Enter the target keywords on the right (comma- or line-separated), or leave it blank to auto-rank the most frequent words.
- Read the density table — each row turns amber near the limit and red when it's over-optimized (above ~5% by words).
Common use cases
- Checking that a blog post emphasizes its target keyword without overdoing it.
- Spotting keyword stuffing before you publish or hand off the draft.
- Quickly seeing what terms a competitor's page leans on.
